Bennett's family early on tought him to shoot for his dreams his whole life and so later in life he attended Alma College studying art. He states, "I have been privileged and fortunate to have gained a fine formal education..." Bennett is a licensed architect as well and has restored some of America's finest architecture. "My inquisitive nature has lead me...to learn to love the art and architecture of Europe and Asia...My work has been appreciated abroad and at home and I am proud to be an American artist and have the privilege to paint what I see."
