Nickel
Creek Gallery of Cave Creek, Arizona was opened in November of 2007
by Vallerie Vickers. Vallerie, a veteran gallery owner of 30 years
has found the right place in Arizona for her new gallery. The unique
building on Cave Creek Road, outside of Phoenix was exactly what
she had in mind. The building was lovingly created in 86' by Andrew Zeire. The building reflects pottery highlights in many places. There is 4,000 sq ft of some plaster, some rock, and some cement all put together with huge pieces of rose quartz and other stones. Lights are reflected in stones embedded occasionally to highlight an area. All of this is enhanced with the art. Each piece selected from Contemporary, Southwest, Western, and Abstract artists. Huge mosaic pots are found in the garden area where visitors are invited to stop and enjoy the view of Back Mountain. Vallerie is quick to offer a glass of wine, coffee or a soft drink. The coffee is a big hit in the mornings. Especially when it comes from the Coffee Co. Freshly roasted next door. Nickel Creek is a destination that requires a part of your day to stop and visit and see the Art Within Art. |
